Dance Alliance Programme
Dublin Youth Dance Company (DYDC) is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the growth of youth dance in Ireland — from young dancers and creators to youth leaders, teachers, and choreographers.
As part of this mission, DYDC’s Alliance Programme is offering mentorship opportunities for two Ireland-based dance artists — whether emerging dancers, youth dance leaders, or choreographers — to support their artistic and organisational development throughout 2026.
This three-month programme is designed to help participants enhance their creative practice and professional skills in line with their current stage of artistic growth.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
-
Take part in company classes and shadow a choreographer throughout the creative development of a new dance work.
-
Receive mentorship in organisational and professional development from DYDC’s Artistic Director, Mariam Ribón, through two online sessions.
Programme Timeline
The programme will run in two phases:
-
Phase 1: 10 January – 21 March 2026 (10 weeks) – with choreographer Simone O’Toole
-
Phase 2: 26 September – 12 December 2026 (11 weeks) – choreographer to be confirmed

"Mariam is so wonderful to talk to, so approachable, to the point and offers so much advice as well as creative suggestions you may otherwise not tease out yourself. ."
