Amanda Braide

Amanda is a Brazilian dance artist & photographer based in Ireland. She is classical ballet base and trained in Brazil under the direction of an array of prestigious teachers from Ballare Dance School, Olinda Saul in Brazil & Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro, and continued training with Giselle Santoro until 2016. In 2009 Amanda also did a teacher RAD course.

Amanda started to photograph at the age of 17 and created her project Pointe Shots in 2012. In 2016 she studied photography at f/508 in Brazil. She is always open to experimenting and exploring different ideas within her work, with her preference being for dance photography.  Currently Amanda is continuing her studies in Griffith College as she believes there is always room to learn more. 

 

Since moving to Dublin, Amanda has trained with Dublin Youth Dance Company focusing on learning and developing her skills in contemporary dance and is currently teaching for Brona MacNally School of Dance.
