Mateusz Szczerek

Mateusz Szczerek is a Dublin based artist, professional member of Dance Ireland and a recipient of HATCH Creation Award 2022. 

Matt’s recent work includes development of animated dance piece for young audiences in VR called Matt & Hat supported by Arts Council Ireland, creation of END., environmentally conscious piece with Human Collective blending mediums of film, dance and music.  

He choreographed and directed dance/circus piece, Blame Game produced by Crying Out Loud UK, toured  Internationally in 2022 with plans for 2023.

Matt continues to curate Dance2Connect LAB, development program with mentorship from international artists  at Dance Ireland.

In 2022 he performed in UP_CLOSE by Monica Munoz touring Ireland with over 40 shows. 

He worked with CoisCeim Dance Theatre performing in THE WOLF & PETER (2017 Sydney Opera House). 

In 2017 he was selected by Far From The Norm dance company as a lead Irish artist in international production UNION BLACK, touring UK, France, Sweden, Ireland.
