Millie Daniel-Dempsey

Originally from Ireland, Millie graduated in 2015 from the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance with a BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance Performance.

 

After graduating Millie was accepted into an Elite training programme with Budapest Dance Theatre and from there continued on to Germany to take part in the Crossover Project in Berlin which accumulated in performances in both Berlin and Hamburg. In 2016 Millie joined the Step Up programme in Ireland where she worked with choreographers Lea Anderson and David Bolger. In the same year Millie started working with Scottish dance company Katie Milroy Dance whom she performed with for 3 years in 2 productions and multiple R&D’s.

 

Millie returned to Ireland in 2018 and has since worked on projects with NightStar Dance Company, Cie Nacera Belaza, Sibeal Davitt, Justine Doswell, Monica Munoz Marin, Aliina Lindroos and also participated in numerous research and development residencies. Most recently Millie has worked on projects with Maria Nilsson Waller and Selma Daniel.

 

In 2020, Millie also began her own choreographic ventures with collaborator Amy Lyster. This has led to the formation of the artistic duo ‘Honey&Lemon’ who hope to premiere their first work in 2022.
