Martha Tribe
Ballet

Martha Tribe is a dance artist who draws upon their training in contemporary and ballet techniques, somatic practices and folk dance within their movement identity. Since graduating from Rambert School, London, they have relocated to Dublin, working as a freelance dance artist between Ireland and the UK.

Martha has performed in works by artists including Adrian Look, Faye Tan, Jason Mabanana and Darren Ellis, touring nationally and internationally and dancing in venues such as The Linbury Theatre, The Lilian Baylis Theatre and The Royal Opera House. They performed in the restaging (2023) of ‘Class’ by Sir Robert Cohan for the choreographer’s memorial evening and in the same year performed a restaging of ‘Entity’ by Sir Wayne McGregor. Martha is currently working with choreographer Shireen Talhouni, performing her solo 7ariga, which has been shared to audiences in Dublin, London and eventually Amman later in 2025.

A large part of Martha's practice is their research and choreographic work, which they presented a lecture on at Oxford University, January 2025. They are interested in the notion of space and place as danced phenomena and have been granted a research bursary to develop this work towards publication.
