Hi everybody!
We missed the Irish Youth Dance Festival this year and its many activities, International Residencies, Masterclasses, performances, getting together to celebrate dance and meeting other dancers. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy a wonderful IYDF in 2021!
However, we did not stop, we kept going and met each other online every Saturday and Sunday dancing in our living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and gardens! We also participated in two wonderful DIGITAL PROJECTS:

INTERNATIONAL
DANCE RESIDENCIES
Attention, young dancers out there, if you are looking for development and performance opportunities, check out our INTERNATIONAL DANCE RESIDENCIES in collaboration with Dance Ireland and Draíocht Arts Centre.
Young dancers partaking in the International Dance Residency will have the opportunity to perform at the Irish Youth Dance Festival 2019, on Saturday 29th June at the Draíocht Arts Centre or Friday 5th July at Pavilion Theatre.
Helen Wilson is the Artistic Director of Rise Youth Dance Company, Bristol, UK.
Toni Bravo is the Artistic Director Diverse Space Youth Dance theatre, Austin, Texas, US. Toni trained at the Royal Ballet and with Pina Bausch.

Senior International Dance Residency
with British choreographer Helen Wilson

Creative Youth Dance Residency
Draíocht Studio
This week-long residency with teacher Sue Malone (DYDC), is for young people selected from D15 Transition Year Secondary School Taster sessions, held earlier this year.
Over 5 days, participants will work together with DYDC facilitator exploring and creating a contemporary dance piece for performance.
The resulting dance piece will be performed at the Young Creators Platform on Sunday 30th June.

The programme for 2019 will feature dancers aged from 12 to 25, and offer a real variety of performances showcasing dancers, choreographers and companies.
Dublin Youth Dance Company (DYDC), who present the festival, is Ireland’s premiere contemporary youth dance group, and are known for their passionate, imaginative and cross-disciplinary work.
With guests companies, Diverse Space Youth Dance Theatre (US) and Human Collective.
Coming from a broad range of backgrounds
Human Collective is a company of dance artists, whose ethnic diversity is an important aspect of the companies identity.
